Phu Yen is not only featured by its wildness of the nature but its ancientness also with unique cultural structures, which will be promisingly an appealing destination with many travelers from over the world. Moreover, Phu Yen is also well-known for its wide ranges of famous beautiful sites to discover such as: Ganh Da Dia (The Sea Cliff of Stone Plates) with overlapped stone masses or Mui Dien, the easternmost on the land – the first sunshine spot of Vietnam.
Quy Nhon, the beautiful sea city is situated far from Phu Yen about 100km, which is the perfect combination of the beauty of the sea and mountains. The charming Quy Nhon beauty maybe captures thousand of visitor’s heart. When it comes to here, almost tourists are completely conquered by the original wild landscape here owing to not being exploited much and charming simple life.
During a limited period of time (within 3 days and 3 nights), you need to make a detail schedule of destinations, accommodation, and finally eating and drinking because these are the most expensive expense during the trip. One of the most important principles with cheap traveling is to hold back the desire for enjoyment. You could go to many beautiful places without high expenses unless you don’t limit the cost of each item a little bit.
1. Accommodation service in Quy Nhon city
On the first day: In Quy Nhon, we stayed in a motel far from the beach about 50m, near the market at the cost of 180,000 dong/ single room.
On the second day: we stayed in Thanh Van motel, right at the intersection of Quy Nhon Square at the cost of 240,000 dong/ double room/ night. Since the purpose of trip is to discover, not to relax, we picked cool and clean but simple accommodations with full of necessary facilities and near the center. In addition, there is a bulk of beautiful homestay at the reasonable prices of around 300,000 – 400,000 dong; you can refer to pick up the most suitable one.
2. Where to play?
On the first day: we decided to driver to Ky Co (far away from here about 25km). Given the fact that the road is made of concrete, so it is quite easy to go. The landscape alongside both sides of the road is really amazing. When approaching the destination, you have to send motorbikes and catch a transit car to go to Ky Co (it takes about 40,000 dong/ ticket).
Before going to the sea, you should apply sunscreen because it is very harshly sunny here. There is a rental service for storage cabinet and resting chairs at the cost of 30,000 dong. Everything has a specific price list so you can be assured that you won’t be ripped off.
After visiting Ky Co, you could move to Eo Gio far from Ky Co about 6,5km (about 25,000 dong/ ticket). After that, let’s go to Trung Luong picnic area (unit price is about 30,000 dong/ ticket). Do not forget to visit Hoang Hon peak because you can zoom out to see the whole beautiful scenery from here.
On the second day: It takes only 5 minutes to move to Nhon Hai to catch the canoe to Hon Kho with the expense of 100,000 dong/ person/ round-trip.
Then we stop by Ghenh Da Dia (The Sea Cliff of Stone Plates) which is far from there about 80km in the afternoon at the cost of 25,000 dong/ person. It is advised to go to Vuon Xoai slope and then turn to Ong Cop bridge to pass through Ghenh Da Dia. This is one of the beautiful sunset views that you should not miss. After enjoying the sunset, you can move to Tuy Hoa city.
On the third day: Moving to Bai Xep with the entrance fee of 5,000 VND, and after that move to Dak Lak.
5. What to eat?
The food in Quy Nhon is very diverse and abundant with affordable cost.
• Seafood at 7 Thom Restaurant (same price of 30,000 dong/ dish). It spends about 100,000 VND/ person, and then you could either have a cup of coffee in Surf Bar or have a walk alongside the sea.
• Eat “Banh hoi chao long” (specialty food in Quy Nhon made of rice and mixed with pig’s guts) at No. 20 Dien Hong, Quy Nhon province (with the price of 30,000 dong/set)
• Huong Duong Chicken rice – No. 21 Tran Phu (at the costs of 35,000 dong/ set) very delicious.
Because of each person has different budget and demands, there will be some arising expenses. It is suitable for the young with the total expense of 1,500,000 dong within 3 days and 3 nights.
In addition mentioned destinations, there are more beautiful places such as: Cu Lao Xanh, Tuong Phat, Ham Ho resort, Phuong Mai sand dunes, Cua Bien in Quy Nhon or Mui Yen, Mui Dien, Mui Dai Lanh, Bai Mon in Phu Yen, etc…
